Recently, a local customer wanted a standout rustic wood framed mirror to complement a little nook by their dining room, this is what i designed for her. It works perfectly with light or dark walls and also with rustic or shabby chic styling.
I have designed it to be really solid at about 3" thick! It is all made from reclaimed aged pallet wood, chunky planks or beams roughly 3" x 2" in section, bolted and nailed together.
The mirror glass will be cut new as often when i try to recycle mirror glass it doesnt cut reliably and may have been scratched.
The corner joints are bolted through, glued and the mirror bedded in a silicone cushion to prevent movement and protect from accidental damaged. 2 mirror plates are fixed to the back so that the mirror can be securely screwed to the wall.
The finish is achieved by burning the wood then painting with grey wash and adding white tones. Waxed to semi-gloss finish.
Measures 50cm wide and 3 length options. Custom option available but please contact first.
